My business hours are Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Emails or requests sent outside of these hours, as well as on statutory holidays, will be addressed on the following business days. If you are experiencing a crisis or need immediate help, click the Immediate help button at the bottom of this page for information about emergency support services.
Please note that I do not provide crisis or emergency support to current, former or prospective clients. Due to the nature of my practice, I focus on ongoing therapeutic work, and the typical wait time for a follow-up session is approximately 2 to 3 weeks. If you are seeking ongoing therapy, you are welcome to book multiple appointments in advance to ensure consistent scheduling and minimize any potential gaps in care.

My office is in unit #115 of the Commerce House at 236 St. George Street in Downtown Moncton.
The main entrance of the building is on St. George Street. Upon entering the lobby, you may take the elevators (left) or the stairs (right) to the first floor. Once you are on the first floor, follow the signs on the wall to find my unit.
Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your first scheduled appointment time. The entrance to my unit remains locked until that time.
If you arrive early, feel free to enjoy a treat at the small café accessible from the lobby, or visit another café just across the street. This gives you a chance to relax before your session!
Yes! There is lots of street parking available around the Commerce House (metered or 2-hours).
My hourly service fee is $240 and applies to all of my psychological services. This fee is based on the recommended rate for individual therapy set out by the College of Psychologists of New-Brunswick (CPNB).
Individual therapy (60 minutes): $240
Couple therapy (90 minutes): $360
Services provided outside of scheduled sessions (for example, preparation of client-requested documentation) are billed based on the time required to complete them.
Accepted methods of payment are e-transfer, credit card, and debit.
Service fees are due at the beginning of each session and must be paid in full by the end of the session. A receipt will be emailed to you, so that you may submit it to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Services provided by a licensed psychologist in a private setting are not included in the New Brunswick’s health insurance plan (Medicare).
However, a licensed psychologist’s service fees are often covered by personal insurance programs. It is important to contact your individual insurance provider to find out if these fees can be partly or fully reimbursed prior to booking a session with me, as I do not provide direct billing.

In your first session, we’ll begin by discussing what you can expect from the therapy process, including confidentiality, your rights and responsibilities as a client, and the structure of our work together. We’ll also go through some paperwork to ensure you're fully informed about the process and consenting to begin therapy. After that, we’ll talk about why you're seeking therapy, your goals, and any challenges you're facing. This session is an opportunity for you to ask questions and for us to ensure that we’re a good fit. My aim is to create a comfortable, supportive space to begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship.
An individual session is scheduled for 60 minutes. This typically includes 50 minutes of active therapy and 10 minutes for booking and documentation. Couple's therapy sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes.
The number of therapy sessions needed varies from person to person, depending on your individual goals and the nature of the issues you're working through. Some clients may find relief or experience progress within a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy to explore more complex concerns. Together, we'll set clear goals from the start and regularly assess your progress. Ultimately, the pace and duration of therapy are flexible and tailored to your needs.
I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. To ensure that I can provide the best care to all my clients, I kindly request that you notify me at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
You may cancel your session directly through my booking system (your Jane account) or email me at [email protected].
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours' notice are considered late cancellations and are billed at the full service fee of the cancelled session. Your credit card on file will be charged accordingly.
I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a respectful and efficient scheduling process. Thank you for valuing our time together!
To ensure the best service for all clients, please be aware of the following policies regarding lateness and no-shows:
Lateness: If you are late, your appointment will not be extended past the originally scheduled time, and you will be charged the full service fee. If you are more than 20 minutes late to your session, it will be considered a missed appointment. I will not provide the service, and you will be charged the full service fee.
No-shows: If you completely miss your scheduled session, you will be charged the full service fee.
If you anticipate being late or need to cancel, please let me know as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in maintaining an efficient scheduling process!
This depends on several factors, including the weather conditions, your travel distance to my office, school closures, and other considerations. Ultimately, it comes down to your comfort level with attending the session in person. If needed, I can offer telehealth sessions as an alternative. That said, if the weather conditions worsen and Codiac Transpo suspends their services, all sessions will be cancelled and rescheduled to another day. Please feel free to reach out if you're unsure about attending, and we can plan accordingly.
A psychologist is a licensed mental health professional trained to diagnose and treat emotional, behavioral, and psychological concerns. Psychologists use evidence-based therapy techniques to help individuals manage issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, among others. They are also trained to conduct psychological assessments to better understand a person’s mental health needs. Psychologists are not licensed to prescribe medication but can work alongside other healthcare providers if medication is needed.
Referrals are not required! Therefore, you can book with me directly without needing to speak to a medical doctor or another professional. However, some insurance companies may require a referral to process reimbursements. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm their specific requirements.
A treatment modality refers to the specific approach or method used in therapy to address your concerns and help you achieve your goals. Different modalities are based on various psychological theories and techniques, and many are evidence-based, meaning they have been shown through research to be effective. For example, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) are both evidence-based modalities that focus on helping you understand and manage thoughts and emotions in ways that support your well-being and align with your values. In our work together, I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities. The goal is to find an approach that supports your personal growth and helps you make meaningful progress.
